All Classes are approved by the South Carolina Department of Social Services for Continuing Education credits for South Carolina's Licensed Certified Investigators who provide Homestudy Services.   Adopting from China, Adopting from Russia, and International Adoption meet Hague standards for pre-adoption education. 
Each Class is 2.5 hours.  Certificates are available.

Adoption 202-International Adoption: Pre-adoption education course meets Hague standards.
Topics includes the core issues of international adoption, Post Institutional Effects (PIE) expectations and transition, children in orphanages and foster care, medical considerations, post adoption support, resources, and more. 2.5 Credit Hours/certificates are available for Adoptive parents and certified investigators.

NEW for 2008, Adopting From Russia
Includes basic childcare information while addressing the unique need of adopted children from Russia. Child development, orphanage care, early days together, pre and post-adoption resources, adoption travel, and more. This course meets Hague standards for pre-adoption education. 2.5 Credit Hours/certificates are available for Adoptive parents and certified investigators.

UPDATED 2008, Adoption 101: Beginning the Adoption Process
Considering adoption? Learn about different types of adoption; domestic or international, the risk factors associated with each and which may be right for you. Topics include: which child can you parent, age as a factor, trans-racial adoption, medical considerations, how to compare programs, and red flags. 2.5 Credit Hours/certificates are available for Adoptive parents and certified investigators.

Adopting a Toddler: What Size Shoe Does She Wear?: Preparing for the arrival of your toddler or older infant. Includes basic childcare information while addressing the unique need of adopted children, adoption travel, post adoption, and more.

Adopting From China
Taught by the Author of Adopting a Daughter from China, this class is combines basic childcare info with the unique needs of first time parents adopting from China: preparing the nursery, child development, packing for your trip, travel to China, early days together, pre and post-adoption resources, and more. Meets Hague educational requirements: 2.5 Credit Hours

Create a Class: we can design a class to meet your specific agencies requirements or select a current class. The class fee is determined by the class selected and length of time. Mileage Fees and overnight accommodations are in addition to the class fee for most evening and early morning classes that require travel the night before. Mileage is calculated at .50 per mile, for any travel over a 60-mile radius.

We are avaliable to speak on a variety of subjects free of charge.
Theses include, Toddler Adoption,  Internatioanl Adoption, and  Adopting After Infertility: A Christian Perspective on Adoption.
